A meaningful and insightful discussion program was successfully conducted on 25th February 2025, focusing on the highly relevant topic — “Bad Effects of Overuse of Android Phones in Students’ Life and Its Remedy.” The session aimed at raising awareness among students about the psychological, academic, and social consequences of excessive mobile phone use, particularly smartphones, and suggesting healthy habits and alternatives for a balanced lifestyle.
The event was graced by two eminent personalities, Dr. Soumyajit Ghosh (Professor) and Dr. Sandipan Nayek (Psychiatrist), who were invited as special guests and keynote speakers. Both experts shared their valuable insights based on real-life clinical experiences, scientific studies, and psychological understanding of the growing digital addiction among youth.
During the session, the speakers elaborated on how excessive screen time affects concentration, sleep patterns, emotional health, social behavior, and academic performance. They also discussed practical remedies, including time management techniques, digital detox practices, involvement in outdoor activities, and parental guidance strategies.
